Her area of concentration is in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye syndrome and other ocular surface diseases that may be caused by occupational, recreational, or other environmental factors. Dr. Lin has frequently lectured on visual and ocular disorders for community organizations, support groups at local hospitals, and local nursing homes. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association (VOA), and was the recent secretary/treasurer of the Shenandoah Valley Optometric Society (SVOS). She is also a volunteer member of the National Red Cross. Dr. Lin resides in Virginia Beach with her husband Dr. Nilsson and cat, Paxton.
